This nomadic cycling tour follows a breathtaking high-mountain route through the heart of Gilgit-Baltistan, combining rugged adventure with deep cultural immersion. Starting from Skardu, the gateway to some of the world’s highest peaks, the journey winds along dramatic river valleys and ancient trade routes toward Gilgit, the region’s historic and cultural hub. From there, the route climbs into the legendary Hunza Valley, renowned for its snow-capped mountains, terraced fields, and warm hospitality.
The tour continues beyond the main Karakoram Highway into the remote Chupurson Valley, a lesser-traveled corridor near the Afghan border, culminating at the sacred Baba Ghundi Ziarat. Traveling nomadically by bicycle allows riders to move slowly through these landscapes, carrying essentials, adapting to changing terrain and weather, and connecting closely with local communities. This journey is as much about self-reliance and discovery as it is about cycling—offering an unforgettable blend of physical challenge, spiritual calm, and raw natural beauty.
